In September 2011, the Mitsubishi Endowed Professorship Fund was established at Dartmouth College, located in the state of New Hampshire in the United States.

A member of the Ivy League, Dartmouth was established in 1769. Mitsubishi has been sending staff to Dartmouth over the past 50 years, and the college has deep historic ties with Mitsubishi.　Since January 2013, Mr. Yusaku Horiuchi, who was selected as the Mitsubishi Endowed Professor, has been offering courses related to the politics of modern Japan. Through efforts with the college, Mitsubishi aims at the development of students who have a deep understanding of Japan and who can contribute to the enhancement of the relationship between the United States and Japan and actively engage in the global arena.
