• Mitsubishi & Co. Italia S.p.A. was founded in 1969 in Milan as the Italian branch of Mitsubishi & Co., Ltd., one of the leading trading and investment firms in Japan. The first “Mitsubishi” liaison office in Milan was opened in 1880 by the former Mitsubishi & Co., when silk yarn where imported from Japan to be supplied to northern Italian textile manufacturers. * Legally speaking, there has been no continuation between the former Mitsubishi & Co. and the current Mitsubishi & Co.
